Green Silly Parrots is a rock band that emerged at the end of 2010 in Burgos, which has been characterized by its lack of complexes when it comes to incorporating to its songs elements borrowed from other musical styles. After recording a demo in his own studio, and after being listened in the radio programm “Capitán Demo” by Radio 3 (most influential radio of the independent scene of Spain), the first compliments arrived, which were reflected in the election to participate in “Fiestas Demoscopicas” of Mondosonoro (spanish musical magazine) and the signing by the record label “MUS Records”.
At that time, Javier Ajenjo CEO of Sonorama Festival (one of the most important festivals in Spain) takes them to the Neo Music Box studios, to record their first single “Discoteque”. In 2013 the band record their first Lp “Underground Landscape” with which they get a great recognition of media and public, and begin a long tour that takes them to some of the most important festivals on the national scene. In 2015 they record an EP called “Green Silly Parrots” in the Tio Pete studios.
After a short tour, and sharing stages with bands like Leon Benavente or Sidonie, they get the first prize in the “LaRua” Music Contest and in the “Musica Joven 2015” contest. With the performance at Sonorama 2016, they closed that stage, and focus on the preparation of their new work.
Already in 2017, they plan the new project with Manuel Lozano (Alienstein Desing), creating a visual concept, as well as an aesthetic concept, and not only summed up to the musical production. After more than a year working on the new themes, they launch their new Lp “Utopia”. Together with Jag Stone (Kasparov vs Deep Blue) as a producer, and mastered in New York by Alex Psaroudakis (Obøy, Rosalía ..), they bet on a somewhat darker and more forceful sound, but without losing their dancing and energetic essence of their direct.
